Service Dock

SMS terms

Effective date: October 20, 2026

Service businesses use Service Dock to text their customers from the business’s own phone number. These terms describe those messages and how to stop them.

Who sends the messages

Each text comes from the business you booked or contacted, from that business’s phone number. The business is responsible for its messages and for having your consent to receive them. Service Dock provides the software. Each business also publishes its own messaging terms and privacy policy.

What messages you may receive

  • Appointment confirmations, reminders, changes and cancellations.
  • Updates such as “your technician is on the way”.
  • Replies to questions you send the business, and follow-ups about your service.

Frequency and cost

Message frequency varies with your appointments and conversations. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.

How to stop or get help

  • Reply STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT) to stop texts from that business number. You will receive one message confirming that you are unsubscribed.
  • Reply START (or YES, UNSTOP) to receive texts again.
  • Reply HELP for help, or contact the business directly.

Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.

Carriers

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

Mobile phone numbers are not shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes, and text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties. See our privacy policy.
