Service Dock

Terms of service

Effective date: October 20, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Marketing For Service LLC (“we”, “us”), which operates Service Dock. By creating an account or using the Service Dock web app, mobile app or this website, you agree to them. If you use Service Dock for a business, you agree on behalf of that business.

1. The service

Service Dock helps service businesses schedule jobs, take online bookings, keep customer records, call and text customers from their business numbers, send automatic reminders and work from a mobile app. Features may change over time; some are optional extensions that a business turns on.

2. Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement.
  • Give accurate information and keep your sign-in details secure; you are responsible for activity in your account.
  • A business’s owners and admins decide who joins their company and what each member may do. Tell us at [email protected] if you believe your account was used without permission.

3. Your business’s data

Your business owns the data it puts into Service Dock. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide, secure and support the service, as described in our privacy policy. You are responsible for having the right to collect and use that data, including your customers’ contact details.

Your compliance. Your business decides what data about its customers it collects and how it uses it, and is responsible for following the privacy, consumer protection and communications laws that apply to it — including the laws of the places where it is registered, where it operates and where its customers live. For example, a business serving customers in California follows California’s privacy law toward those customers.

Our role. For your business’s customer data we act as your service provider (also called a processor). We:

  • process it only to provide, secure and support the service, and as you instruct through the service;
  • do not sell or share it, and do not use it for our own advertising, analytics or other purposes;
  • keep it confidential and protect it with the security measures described in our privacy policy;
  • use providers that process it under similar obligations, as listed by type in our privacy policy;
  • help you respond to your customers’ requests to access, correct or delete their information, and tell you if we can no longer meet these obligations;
  • delete it when your business deletes it or closes its account, as described in our privacy policy.

These obligations, like the rest of these terms, are governed by Florida law (section 13).

4. Calls, texts and recordings — your responsibilities

Service Dock provides tools; your business decides how to use them and is responsible for doing so lawfully:

  • Texting and calling only people who gave the consent the law requires (for example under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act), honoring opt-outs, and following carrier rules, including US A2P 10DLC registration.
  • Recording calls and using live transcripts only as allowed where you and the other party are; some states require everyone on the call to consent. The optional announcement before calls helps but may not be enough on its own.
  • The content of the texts, emails and voicemail greetings your business sends.

We may help you prepare information, such as example answers for a 10DLC registration, but you remain responsible for what you submit to carriers and providers.

5. Third-party services

Some features use services you connect under your own agreements, such as your phone provider account for calls and texts. Their terms and charges apply between you and them; we are not responsible for their services, fees or availability.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • send spam, unlawful, harassing or deceptive messages, or messages to people who opted out;
  • break the law, infringe others’ rights or upload malicious code;
  • try to access other companies’ data, probe or overload the service, or get around its security;
  • resell or copy the service, or use it to build a competing product.

7. Fees

The features available today are offered without charge. We may introduce paid plans or features; we will tell account owners before any charge applies, and you can stop using the paid parts.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep Service Dock available and secure, but it may be interrupted for maintenance, updates or reasons outside our control. We may change or discontinue features and will give reasonable notice of changes that significantly affect you.

9. Ending your use

You may stop using Service Dock at any time and ask us to delete your account (see Delete your account). Your company’s records stay with the company when a member’s account is deleted; the company’s data is deleted only when its owner asks us to delete the company or closes its account. The only owner of a company must make another member an owner, or ask us to delete the company, before deleting their own account. We may suspend or end access for a breach of these terms or to protect the service, other users or the public. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as 3, 10, 11, 12 and 13) survive the end of this agreement.

10. Disclaimers

Service Dock is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100 if you paid nothing.

12. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your business’s data, your messages and calls, or your breach of these terms or the law.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Florida, unless the law requires otherwise.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and notify account owners of significant changes. Continuing to use Service Dock after a change means you accept it.
